$125 - 30 minute mini session at my studio - 5 8x10 Digital images and 1 8x10 or 11x14 Portrait plus Special Gift!

You will have 10-15 images in your gallery to choose from within 5 days.
Up to 3 people included (this is the most I can photograph in the studio usually, Ask if you have a larger group)
I can also come to your home and photograph your family in front of your own Christmas Tree. Please contact me for more info. This special is NOT for outdoor sessions. I am still honoring the Fall Special.
You may use referral credits (I will let you know if you have any) on these sessions. Other coupons are not valid. If you are a "Little's" member, this session doesn't count towards your book unless you do the 4 sessions in a year.
I will have a choice of white, black or red (Might be getting a winter blue one too) plain background and I will have a Christmas tree and gifts set up as well. My tree is decorated in a Red/White "Candy" theme on one side, and a ice blue and silver "Snowflake" theme on the other! I also have lots of cute Christmas Props to use!

This little man (I call him G-man) is special to me, his Mommy is a very close friend of mine, and I've been taking his photos since he was just a little sprout. G-man is what I call spirited - I've learned that I really have follow his lead sometimes. We do one pose of mine, and one of his choice (which is usually a silly face) back and forth. We did this session in Downtown Boise, starting at Alia's Coffee house.

We thought this looked like a rocket!

He totally did this on his own!

been sick
Celebrated my birthday! I got to go scrapbooking with all of my girls, and out to eat more times than I needed to (complete with the free dessert and the singing, I love that!)
Got my favorite toy ever, an iPod touch.
had family visit from out of town
Did the Women's Fitness Celebration Walk with my Mom, Godmother, Aunt and Cousin!
got sick AGAIN
Celebrated my husband's birthday

and more! So yes, I have been busy!

I believe that this little guy needs to give other babies lessons in how to be a model - he slept, let me mess with him all I wanted, and didn't wet on anything - yay! His Momma was also into my crazy ideas, so a very fun time was had!

I had a scale like this when I was a baby - I snagged it yesterday at an antique store as a early Bday present for myself...

I had been jonesin' for a new basket image - I borrowed this basket from a friend.

This was their blanket and I just loved it!

of course, had to try this again. I think Mom will be surprised to see we got it!

and this one is just cute. I did a prop swap with my photographer friend Michelle and she sent me this awesome rug! I love it.

I've been a busy bee, and I wanted to clear up some availibility issues and questions about my calendar (over on the website, scroll down to calendar)

The Week of July 27-31 I have Jury Duty (oh great, right? gah)
If I don't end up having to go, I will happily do any sessions who are available with 1 days notice on my waiting list. I will contact you.

The week of August 1-5 I am going out of town.

I am never available on Tuesdays unless certain arrangements are made.This is the day we have my Stepson.

I only do events or paid sessions on Weekends. All winning and contest sessions are done on weekdays.

Of course, I will make special arrangements for newborns and members of the Lala's Littles Plan.

Fall is coming soon, and if you want a WEEKEND appointment in October/November you'd better let me know soon!

Introducing: Sprites! - Boise Fairy Photographer

My Fairytale Photography is really my passion and my obsession. I've been lamenting how my family doesn't have many girls - no one to dress up. My Mom and I were playing around with the idea of introducing "boy fairies" - so we made some costumes! Here is my stepson Sky as a "Frog Sprite" - he's only 3, but what a poser. I have him trained now, I think :-)

Of course, Lala having a pocketful of smarties helps!

I have 2 little guys signed up to be Sprites at the event on Saturday too! I also plan on doing some of my cousins Luke and Daniel later this week, they can't wait! Of course, it's so hot out I might have to bribe them with some Frozen yogurt...

What a joy this little one was! It was great to have a little one-on-one time with one little fairy in a different location! We went to the Rose Garden yesterday, and it was just as pretty as always. I was in a vintage mood when I processed these for the sneak peek, but rest assured, regular color versions are always available also!

What do you get?: Each girl will be photographed individually and in whatever

It was a win-win situation - she gets portraits of her kiddos, and I get some much needed pampering! I was so excited to see this little darling again - I had the best time doing her newborn portraits , and Mom's maternity portraits, that I knew it would be fun! It was a beautiful day and we had some fun at the park with Mom and Grandma!

This is one of those photos where I say I have "ESPN" or clairvoyance..lol. I already had the new poofy tutu with me, and surprise, they brought this adorable ladybug with them! It was *meant* to be!

In other news, my studio looks like a tutu factory exploded - prep for the "Fairytales and Daydreams" Event on May 9th! We are no longer accepting entries for this contest. We are now in the process of picking our finalists and will contact you if your child is a finalist.Voting will be on the Shady Lane Studios blog as soon as we get the finalists chosen.

As some of you MAY know, I am opening a NEW studio in Eagle, Idaho with a photographer friend! I am so excited! We are Shady Lane Studios :-D

To kick off our Opening - We are having a Fresh Faces Contest!

TO Enter: Email a CURRENT Snapshot of your kiddo (birth-10 years old) to ShadyLanePhotography@gmail.com along with their First name,age, Parents name and Parent Contact infomation.Photos
MUST be entered by a Parent or Guardian.

One Entry per child, but you may enter individual photos of all your Children.

10 Finalists will be chosen and Contacted - then we will having Open Voting on the Shady Lane Studios Blog. Only the First names and ages of the 10 Finalists will be released WITH Parental Consent.

PRIZES:

GRAND PRIZE WINNER will win a

Custom Family Portrait Session
16x20 Portrait
and a Digital Image Package ($600 + Value!)

1st, 2nd and 3rd place will receive

The Princess has arrived! I got to meet this little sweetie today, she's only 6 days old! We also did Mom's maternity photos!

We had alot of fun with her, I told you I was going to make it poofy and pink!

Adding this one only because I thought she had the cutest ears with adorable Ear Fur!

I get so excited when my clients have new babies, you'd think they were family! This little man was so adorable, and so good for me (well, I did mess with him alot..lol)

We just did him alone today, then next week will be doing the whole family (and some things we didn't get to do today!)

I just liked this one, the pose we were trying wasn't working, but his feet are just so darn cute!

As for me, I am hard at work trying to get all of my galleries up and print orders fufilled for this week. I have two more newbies coming in on the weekend, so I am thinking of new ideas (although I have a ton of new props and crazy hats already..hahaha) and just enjoying myself.

No Chickies Were Harmed in the Making of This Photograph - 2009 Version

Most people who know me know that I am a big softie when it comes to animals! We always had lots of pets when I was growing up (between birth and 18 years old we had - 7 cats, 3 dogs, several fish, hamsters, a bunny, a turtle, 3 chickens, a rooster and a parrot. but not all at the same time!!!) I currently have 2 pets, a cat and a rat and would have more if I had to the room (and a nice big yard!) to take of them!

One thing that has always bothered me, is photographers who take Easter portraits of little tykes with bunnies and chicks.This is dangerous for both the child and the animal! The animal could make the child sick (as children are known to put their hands in their mouths alot!) or the child could accidently hurt the poor animal.

Several years ago, I worked for a place who did seasonal "bunny" portraits of children, with a live bunny. I love bunnies, and most PET bunnies are sweet and soft - but a bunny who has been handled by several curious hands all day long, in an strange enviroment - is not a happy bunny. I got scratched several times, and it was not a pleasant experience, when the day was over either!

Please also think before giving an "Easter" pet to a child as a gift! If you have the time, the place and the love to truly take care of the animal, then welcome them into their lives! Please check out this link for more information.

I just love this "crazy" (as Mom calls them) family! I'm so excited they are expecting again!

We did some family photos which I will get online later, but here are some my faves for now!

Okay, this one of "big brother" showing us where his baby (bellybutton) is just is adorable!

and of course, I'll be the only maternity photographer to tell her client she was
dressing up as a "cavewoman" for her maternity portraits, because that's how I roll!
